Beginning Stats

Ok, I promised that I would post my beginning stats for you. *deep breath in* So...here's goes nothing.

Height : 5' 8.5" (yes, that .5 is important to me!! :))
Weight : 217.8 (that was last week before I added the Isagenix to my diet)
Dress Size : 14/16

I'll even throw a couple of different measurements at you too!
Neck : 15"
Upper Arms : 15.5"
Chest : 43"
Waist : 41"
Buttocks : 46"
Upper Thighs : 26.5"
I took more measurements but I figure that is enough to give you a good idea of where I'm starting at.

Now....on to my Insanity WorkoutFit Test Results...drum roll please...
Switch Kicks : 78
Power Jacks : 29
Power Knees : 55
Power Jumps : 17
Globe Jumps : 5
Suicide Jumps : 4
Push-up Jacks : 6
Low Plank Oblique : 22

Compared to the assistants that he had on the workout DVD, I still have a long way to go!!

One recommended piece of equipment that I did purchase (and so glad I did) is a Heart Rate Monitor. After some research I settled on the Polar FT60 Women's Heart Rate Monitor Watch which I really really like using. It's a combo of a strap that you wear around your chest with the monitor on it and then the watch which is your receiver. It's got a ton of great features. I love that it keeps track of my workouts for the week and that I can set different Training Programs to help keep me on track. And I especially love that I can keep track of the calories that I burn. The only thing that I wish I had known was that the way the face and strap are contoured, the watch is a bit on the small side for me....I have large wrists, always have. I can not wear those pretty bangles and women's bracelets are tight on me. So, I probably would have ordered the Polar FT60 Men's Heart Rate Monitor Watch instead. But, because of the nature of how you wear these products you can't return them once they've been worn. So far it hasn't been that big of an issue, I just wear it a bit loose and it has been working just fine. The features are so great that now I don't want to part with it! :)

So, for my first workout, according to my new heart rate monitor, I had an average heart rate of 146 and a max of 170 and I burned 258 calories in 27 minutes!

I'm sorry for throwing all these numbers at you...but I'm a numbers kind of gal. I love that they are a finite way of seeing your results. You can't argue with numbers!

I'll try and get some "before" photos on here soon too...as soon as I take them.

What about you? Where are you starting at today?
